In short, we build pretty things. Whether you're looking for a mobile site, app development, or full-scale website, we can help you out. Our skill set covers a broad range of services that we can tailor to meet the needs of your agency.
We're collaborators at heart - among our team and with our clients. We have a five-step process flow that takes us from initial planning phases through the launch of your project and beyond. And rest assured, we like to keep you in the loop.
We have a variety of work, ranging from small pet projects to dynamic interactive environments. We “wear a lot of hats” and the work we do reflects a broad range of skills, interests, and clients.
No, that’s not a stray ampersand. Moby began as a collaboration between a developing designer and a designing developer. Read below to find out more about the two founders, Tim and James.
It’s a simple question with a complex answer. We primarily build things for the web, whether it be mobile, desktop, or “other.” We don’t really like to define what we do, because we’re problem solvers who love a challenge, and the idea is to keep our list of services fluid.
Got an idea for an app? Need to create a mobile site? Figure it’s high time to jump on this whole mobile bandwagon, but aren’t sure where to start? Mobile solutions are our specialty. It’s the space we feel most comfortable in and we’d love to help bring your mobile vision to life.
If you’re looking for a more traditional online solution (aka: desktop experience), we’ve got our roots there too. We’ve been building websites and web apps for quite some time, and we love to create fun, user-friendly ones.
We partner with companies and agencies as a creative or development extension to your team. We can work on specific projects, for a set timeframe or on an as-needed basis. We offer an efficient, cost-effective solution for augmenting your team on a short-, mid- or long-term basis.
We have a five-step process that guides us through the project from start to finish. It helps us pinpoint our clients' needs and keeps the project running smoothly. Like butta'.
In the initial phase, we work with you and your team to find out your objectives, challenges, needs, and goals. There’s a lot of talking during this phase, and probably a lot of meetings. We can bring snacks though.
We typically start with a concept review, based on what we uncovered during the discover phase. Once a concept is chosen, we move into design reviews, where we refine the vision and develop your solution.
It ain’t always pretty, but this is where the real magic happens. Your project goes from design comps to actual working sites or prototypes. In the build phase, the pictures turn into tools.
After testing your site/app/demo/whatever, we make sure things are running like a well-oiled machine, then we release it into the world. This is the most exciting phase, as all the hard work comes to fruition and your project comes to completion.
After launch, we like to sit down to relive the memories and go over next steps. Whether it’s scheduling future updates, reviewing content management, or planning next steps, we like to begin and end each project with open dialog with our clients.
We’ve worked with major corporations, small shops, start-ups and agency partners. Our experience spans a range of projects, from mobile sites to games, websites to web applications. Let us know if you're interested in seeing our full portfolio, or check out a sample on Sortfolio.

Moby was founded in Seattle by a couple of geeks who love design, coding, RC planes, cool apps, and video games. Read more about what we're up to in our blog.
